About Morse Code
Morse code encodes letters, digits, and punctuation as sequences of dots (·) and dashes (–). Invented in the 1830s for the telegraph, it is still used in amateur radio and emergencies.
How it works: each character maps to its standard international dot/dash pattern. This tool separates letters with a space and words with a slash (/). Decode reverses the mapping.
Morse code is useful for education, radio hobbies, emergency signaling (SOS = ···–––···), and puzzles. This tool encodes text to Morse and decodes Morse back to text.
FAQ
Can this Morse Code tool both encode and decode?
Yes. This is a single page with a toggle — use Encode mode to transform text, and Decode mode to reverse it. No need for two separate pages.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Morse Code is processed entirely in your browser. The text you enter never leaves your device.
