About PEM Validator

PEM Validator checks a PEM block's wrapper: matching -----BEGIN <LABEL>----- and -----END <LABEL>----- markers, and valid Base64 content between them. It guesses the type from the label (certificate, private/public key, or CSR) and counts the decoded bytes.

It checks the wrapper & Base64, not parsing the inner ASN.1. To dissect certificate/key contents, use the PEM Viewer in the Cryptography category.

How is this validator different from a parser or formatter?

A validator answers one question: is this input correct/valid? It returns a valid/invalid badge with the reason. A parser breaks input into its components, and a formatter tidies its layout. Use a validator when you just need to confirm something is sound before using it.
